What Is A Right To Buy Mortgage?
Right to Buy is a government backed mortgage scheme designed to help tenants of council houses buy the home they’re currently renting at a discounted price. It’s just one of the many schemes that make owning a home more affordable.
Often, the discounts offered are enough to cover the upfront deposit costs, meaning that those who can afford the mortgage can purchase their property without paying any deposit at all.
Is It Right For Me?
Eligibility for the right to buy scheme depends on a few factors. It is exclusively open to council house tenants and your chances of receiving a mortgage deal will depend on your financial circumstances.
