We get to work comparing insurers to find the best options for you, no matter the size and value of your property and its contents.
We will recommend the most suitable plan from a range of carefully selected insurance providers. If you’re happy with our choice, we’ll take the time to run through the terms and conditions so you know exactly what your policy does and does not cover. We can also assist with any paperwork if you decide to switch from another insurer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Typically, home insurance is split into three different categories: buildings insurance, contents insurance and combined buildings and contents insurance.
As the name suggests, buildings insurance protects the building itself and items fitted to it – things like doors, baths and basins. Contents insurance merely covers the possessions inside your home, while combined cover deals with everything in one policy.
If you don’t own the freehold of your home outright, you aren’t eligible for combined buildings and contents cover; if you rent or own the lease to the property, buildings cover should be taken care of already. If this is the case, taking out a contents insurance policy will protect your possessions in the event of damage or theft, which wouldn’t otherwise be covered by the freeholder or managing agent.
